A man working on the West Marine building in Hollister sustained

major trauma Friday when he burst through the roof and fell about
30 feet, a Hollister Fire Department captain confirmed.

The accident at West Marine, 2395 Bert Drive, occurred at about 11:30
a.m. Friday, said fire Capt. Tim Schneider. The employee with Mountain View-based
Waterproofing Associates had been repairing dry rot on the two-story distribution
