A Santa Barbara County contractor, who drove trucks marked with the words

 “Santa Barbara Resurfacing,” was one of four people arrested in a far-reaching  

drug sting today by members of a multi-agency task force, officials announced 

Approximately 8 pounds of methamphetamine were seized during the bust, 

which occurred when the narcotics were delivered to an informant this morning in Los Osos.

A criminal complaint filed Tuesday in United States District Court in Los Angeles charges
 Gutierrez and Garcia with distributing methamphetamine, a charge which carries a mandatory 
minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and statutory maximum sentence of life in prison.

According to the affidavit supporting the complaint, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department

Gutierrez reportedly told the informant that he used materials related to his work as a contractor to hide 
the meth by filling plastic 5-gallon buckets about three-quarters full of narcotics and then topping the buckets
 off with material Gutierrez used in his work resurfacing
