A well-established world leader in the manufacture of specialist waterproofing systems in the civil engineering industry seeks an experienced Technical Manager to support on-going expansion in North America. Reporting to the Vice-President – Technical, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a small, expanding Technical Department, as well as recruiting new staff and conducting technical training. Scheduling and performing technical support on-site as well as auditing the company’s network of approved contractors will be an important focus of attention which will demand a flexible schedule and extensive travel throughout North America. Attention to detail, management experience and a critical eye for quality will all be regarded as influential in making this appointment. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, an ability to understand technical conditions on-site and perform effectively in often complex contractual situations.
